Mumbai: BJP takes out morchas against BMC at 24 ward offices over 25-years of ‘misrule’ in civic body | Mumbai News



MUMBAI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday took our morchas against the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) at all 24 administrative ward offices in Mumbai.
The BJP said that it was a morcha against 25 years of misrule in the BMC.
BJP MLA from Andheri (West), Ameet Satam led the morcha at the K-west ward office and installed a symbolic lock on the office.
“Led a morcha on K-east BMC office against 25 years of corruption and misrule in BMC. The BMC scam is the biggest scam in the history of independent India beating 2G, 3G, Coal, and Common Wealth Games scam. Put a lock on the BMC office. Specifically highlighted corruption in the building and factories department of K -west ward. Highlighted the latest high-handed action by this dept in the residential area of Asha Colony and slum of Janta Colony,” Satam said. Satam was detained by the DN Nagar police.
In Malad, the protests were led by BJP Corporator Vinod Mishra at the P-North Ward. “Today, in protest against the corrupt and failedBMC we agitated and warned the corrupt government to fall in line. The BMC is sinking the city and we will have to put an end to this,” Mishra said.
JP MP from Mumbai North, Gopal Shetty was also part of the protests.
